Join us Monday, Mar. 9, as Fr. Billy Massie (pastor of St. Ann Church in Mamou) will be our guest priest for a special Q&A session of the Back-to-Basics lecture series.
Fr. Massie will answer some common questions that people often have; like: Is it okay to attend a wedding of a Catholic who is getting married outside the Church?; Why can’t priests be married?; Why can’t we eat meat on Fridays of Lent?; plus many more questions. And, you can ask Fr. Massie your own questions.
The free talk is open to the public. It starts at 5:30 pm at the Family Life Center (1220 W. Dardeau St., Ville Platte).
Fr. Matthew Barzare – erstwhile parochial vicar at Sacred Heart across town – return Monday, Feb. 10, to be our guest speaker for the Back-to-Basics Lecture Series. He gave a great presentation on “Appreciating the Sacramentals: What they are; and how they help us”. There was packed house of nearly 50 people to listen to it.
Rosaries. Holy Water. Votive Candles. Holy Medals. Everyone uses them, but do we understand their true importance in our spiritual lives.

With the start of a New Year, people often make resolutions for improvements in their lives. Sometimes, however, the resolutions don’t last.
