The April talk will examine the major Jewish festivals during the time of Jesus, and how He fulfilled them. The guest speaker will be Fr. Tom Voorhies, pastor at Sacred Heart. It will be Monday, Apr. 9, at 5:30 pm, at the Family Life Center.
Fr. Glodd’s talk was recorded. It lasts about one hour.
Are you ready to change your relationship with God and get closer to him? Do you need a community to turn to when in need? How about a Retreat? We need to take time out of our busy lives and do this for God and live for him.
The next available retreat is the Awakening Retreat held at LSUE Catholic Student Center on April 20-22. Although, this is a Catholic Retreat, you do not have to be Catholic to attend. It is for young adults, put on by young adults; you do not have to be in college to attend.
Have you ever wondered what are the names of all the different layers of vestments that priests wear? Or if they have any meaning?
Wonder no more. Fr. Taj Glodd will show off some beautiful vestments and discuss not only their names, but their symbolic meanings as well at the March 12 Back-to-Basics Lecture. It will be from 5:30-6:30 pm at the Our Lady Queen of All Saints Family Life Center in Ville Platte.
